People who are tired of using their cold toilet seat can consider installing a heating toilet seat. For installing a heating toilet seat, one needs to ensure that the toilet has GFCI (Ground Faucet Circuit Interpreter) outlet.

Heated toilet seat is equipped with electrical cord that can be plugged into GFCI outlet for enabling the heated seat to function.

Installing a Ground Faucet Circuit Interpreter is difficult while a installing heated toilet seat in the bathroom. The following steps must be considered while installing the heating toilet seat.

  1. Firstly, people are required to switch off the electric power at circuit breaker unit.
  2. Next, locate a spot for the new outlet. People can replace their existing outlet or can place new outlet just near the existing one to run the power from older outlet easily.
  3. Now, evaluate the receptacle of GFCI and cut the box big enough for GFCI receptacle to easily fit and insert the GFCI receptacle.
  4. Connect the power cables into the line terminals located on GFCI unit.
  5. Fold the electric cables carefully and stuff them into box and screw the GFCI with screws supplied with it.
  6. Unscrew the existing toilet seat, replace with heated toilet seat, plug in and switch on the power at circuit breaker unit back on.
